PMP Requirements
• The primary PMP certification requirements would be discussed in detail in the following blocks.
• Secondary degree with at least five years of project management experience and 7500 hours directing and leading projects and 35 hours of project management education.
Or
• Four-year degree with at least three years of project management experience, along with 4500 hours directing and leading projects and 35 hours of Education in project management.
• You are then required to be involved in all the five process groups of the project management lifecycle, which are planning, initiating, monitoring, directing, and closing the project.
• You must also take up at least 35 hours of Education in project management, not necessarily the PMBOK Guide. One contact hour would be equal to one actual hour of instruction or training received, as per the PMI. Non-classroom training, like online training, would also be considered valid by PMI.
Apply for PMP Exam
Once you would have fulfilled the eligibility criteria, the next task in hand would be to fill up the examination form. You first require to create an account on the PMI website and later find the online application form under my PMI section.
If you desire to apply offline, you could download the paper application and send it across to the PMI US office utilizing registered mail.
While utilizing the online application system, you must be careful to complete the form filling process in 90 days. PMI servers would store your data for 90 days and later erase it.
PMP Certification Renewal
Once you would have cleared the exam, your 3-year PDU cycle commences, and after this time duration, your PMP certification would end. You are required to need to earn an additional 60 PDUs per 3-year PDU cycle for maintaining your PMP credential. However, you wouldn’t require waiting for the 3-year cycle to end for PDU renewal. You could earn 60 PDUs in the certification year itself.
Earning PDU:
To earn additional PDUs, PMI would have defined two categories, namely, Education and Giving Back to the Profession. Each hour spent engaging in the professional development activities would be earning you one PDU.
Education
• You could earn PDUs by attending events such as seminars and workshops offered by PMI or PMI R.E.P (Registered Education Providers).
• You could earn PDUs by taking a PMI Publication Quiz, including reading an article and answering at least 70 percent of the questions correctly.
• By completing an academic course provided by a university or by training institutes that aren’t registered by PMI, like your employer, corporates, or membership association, you could earn PDUs.
• Informal activities such as reading articles, podcasts, books, watching videos, etc., relevant to project management, project scheduling or program management, project risk, could also earn you PDUs.
Giving it back to Profession
• You could also earn PDU by creating a new knowledge base for the topic of your expertise.
• You could also earn PDUs by offering project management which is non-compensated, project scheduling, or program management services to non-employer.
• You could also produce certificates or letters from the organization acknowledging your services for leading the projects’ tasks.
So, you now have the roadmap to crack PMP, but your best chance to do it would be to acquire the SPOTO PMP Exam Dumps.
